Billed by the second

Pay for the seconds you use. Never rounded up.

You buy credits. They are spent by the second while your agent is on a call, in either direction — a 65-second call is charged as 65 seconds, not two minutes. Nobody rings, no credits are spent. Your phone number and its calls are billed separately, by your telephone provider.

Two voices, and what each one buys

The more natural voice costs more to run, so it spends credits faster and buys fewer minutes. You choose when you order, and you can change it later at no charge.

Validity and refunds

Credits are valid for the period shown on the plan — normally 30 days for each month bought. Unused credits expire at the end of it.

Orders are non-refundable, and the checkout asks you to confirm you understand before you can place one.

Your number, and what your telephone provider charges

The phone numbers your agent uses are yours. Each one is procured in your business’s name from a licensed telephone provider, and your agreement for it is with them.

Plans pay for your agent’s time on calls. Your provider bills you directly for:

the number itself, usually a monthly rental
the calls on it, usually by the minute
any setup or activation fee for a new number

We help with the paperwork — the provider’s KYC documents, choosing a number, and getting it live. Or use a number you already have.

Questions people ask about the bill

What exactly is charged?

The seconds your agent is actually connected to somebody, and nothing more. We do not round up to the next minute or the next 30 seconds. A 10-second wrong number costs 10 seconds. Ringing does not count, and neither does a call nobody answers.

Why does billing by the second matter?

Many voice platforms round every call up, to the next minute or the next half-minute. Plenty of calls are short: a quick question, a wrong number, a voicemail, somebody who hangs up. Rounding each of those up quietly adds to the bill. Billing by the second means you pay for exactly the time used.

Do inbound and outbound cost the same?

Yes. A second is a second in either direction.

Do plans include telephone charges?

No. Credits pay for your agent’s time on calls. Your telephone provider charges separately for the number — usually a monthly rental — and for the calls, usually by the minute, and bills you for both directly.

Whose phone number is it?

Yours. It is procured in your business’s name, the agreement is between you and the telephone provider, and it stays yours if you ever stop using VocoLogic.

Can you get a number for me?

We will help. Providers need KYC documents before they issue a number, and we walk you through those and the procurement. The number is still registered to you, not to us. You can also use a number you already have.

What happens when credits run out?

The agent stops handling new calls. If it answers your number, calls ring where they did before — your phone does not stop working. A call already in progress is allowed to finish rather than being cut off mid-sentence. Topping up brings it straight back.

Is there a setup fee?

Not from us. We onboard early customers by hand and do not charge for it. Your telephone provider may charge its own fee for setting up a new number.

Can I change plan?

Buy whichever plan you want next time. Credits stack and the new validity is added to whatever is left of the old one, so buying early loses you nothing.

Start with one number

Point a line at it, listen to the first few calls, and decide from there.
